DONALD and MARJORIE McILVRIDE:
Kuhn Nantarak Chaiboonruang, formerly the Co-ordinator (on the Thai side) of the Presbytery-Pahk Partnership Program between Pahk 5, Nan, and Huntingdon Presbytery, Pennsylvania, in a recent letter to Acharn Boonratna Boayen*, wrote:
Remembering the Love of the McIlvride Family:
We the Pahk 5 have always been impressed with the love and kindness of the Lord, as shown to us through the family of the Rev. Don and Acharn Marjorie McIlvride. Between 1987 and 1990 they sacrificed their own comfort to work industustriously in the ministry of serving the Lord. At a time when Pahk 5 was facing a crisis of weakness, the Rev. Mr. McIlvride devoted himself in developing the work of the church. To this end he initiated the Pahk-Presbytery relationship, his wife working with him, shoulder to shoulder. Huntingdon and Nan emphasized co-operation in evangelism, and the uniting of the two groups in faith in Jesus Christ, and in justice, peace and salvationn which was to be demonstrated in and to the world. |
