Mrs. McIlvride also volunteered to teach English at Nan Christian School.

Gradually the ministry of Pahk 5 began to grow. Acharn Don set an administrative pattern for the Pahk to follow. He also established the practice of budgeting for the Pahk's needs and introduced an easy-to-understand system of accounting. He himself was a role model in the Lord's service which inspired leaders and members to work together enthusiastically in a united fashion. He did this by empowering the local people to perform the tasks themselves, with him supporting them in the background. Since his retirement Pahk 5 has been able to carry on the work by themselves.

When Pahk 5 heard of the deaths of Donald and Marjorie McIlvride, everyone felt a sense of loss. May the Lord bless them, so that they live at peace in the house of the Lord. Today the church at Nan is truly thankful for the McIlvride family, and it lives in the hope of meeting them again when we leave this world.
