MODERATOR

The Moderator presides over all Stated and Special meetings of the Presbytery
and heads all commissions created by the Presbytery
(most often to ordain and/or install pastors)
and is elected for one calendar year.

VICE-MODERATORS
Two Vice-Moderators -- one a minister, the other an elder -- are elected each year.
When requested, they function as the Moderator. Subject to election,
they usually are elected as Moderator in subsequent years.

STATED CLERK
The Stated Clerk is the continuing officer of the Presbytery (usually elected for a five-year, renewable term). The Stated Clerk is the channel of communication to and from the General Assembly and the Synod of the Trinity and to and from members, congregations and committees to the Presbytery. The clerk is parliamentarian following the Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (USA), and Robert's Rules of Order,
and is keeper of rolls, minutes and other official record.

PERMANENT CLERK
The Permanent Clerk records minutes of actions of the Presbytery
for prompt delivery to the Stated Clerk, following each meeting.

PRESBYTERY COUNCIL

This body, composed of Presbytery officers, committee chairmen, members elected at-large as defined by The Manual, plans the docket of meetings of Presbytery, reviews actions involving expenditures and establishes long-range goals and programs.
Council has five Stated Meetings yearly: (the first Tuesday of the first full week of January, fourth Tuesday of February, third Tuesday of May, first Tuesday of September and fourth Tuesday of October).

The Council coordinates and evaluates the life of the Presbytery in terms of its vision and mission. It is charged with recommending to Presbytery both short term and long term goals to implement Presbytery's priorities, in consultation with the Leadership, Discipleship and Administration Umbrella Teams. It facilitates communication among the Umbrella Teams and between the UTs and Presbytery. Council identifies emerging needs within churches and society that call for Presbytery attention. Its officers are: a Moderator and Vice Moderator (either clergy or laity) and includes Presbytery Moderatot and Vice-Moderators, Stated Clerk, Permanent Clerk and three Members nominated by the Nominating Committee from Presbytery at large and elected by Presbytery in equal classes for three year terms.Also representatives of the Leadership, Discipleship and Administration Umbrella Teams, Camp and Conference, Committee on Ministry, Personnel, Committee on Representation, Nominating and Presbyterian Women.Ex-officio advisors to Council are General Presbyter, Camp Administrator, the Homes Chief Executive Officer, Treasurer and a representative of the Homes Board of Directors.
