MISSIONS:
PAHK 5 NAN Partnership Dates 1989-1993 1994-1998
1999-2003 2004-2008
After
much time, effort, and thought by Pahk 5 Nan, Huntingdon Presbytery,
and also C.C.T. and PCUSA, this partnership came into being. It
was prayed about, dreamed about, and spearheaded by the late Rev.
Don McIlvride. Between renewal dates each partner reviews the written
agreement, comes forward with suggestions for change which the two
groups then discuss. Closure, or (thus far), renewal has come about
after the partners have agreed mutually about the contents of the
agreement. Folks at many levels have considered this particular
partnership extremely successful.

Subject: Pahk 5 Nan Letter
Dear Friends,
Following is Nantarak's letter answering my questions about construction
procedure and concerns about budget, contributions from Huntingdon.
I am very pleased with the progress and expect that the short-fall will
somehow be covered.
Warmly, Taylor Potter

Thai Letter from Nantarak Chaiboonruang
Pahk-Presbytery Coordinator
7 September 2004
Dear Friends at The Presbytery of Huntingdon, Greetings,
Thank you very much for your recent suggestions regarding the Huay Loy
Church. Khun Bang Chong has a copy of the plans. He gave them
to a local builder in Baw Kluea for a bid. However, the builder
said the specified steel was not available in either Nan or Thailand.
The builder who was chosen to build the church was also unable to find
the steel in Nan or Bangkok. He asked the Pahk engineer to make
adjustments in the steel.
The contract price includes: 1. Columns; 2 .Foundations; 3. Roof; and
4. Concrete work. The builder has said he will follow your (Taylor's)
suggestions as the the method of fabricating the columns. He will
weld them in Nan and truck them to the site for erection. Construction
will begin in October because the time to finish is six months.
Right now the road to Huay Loy is not good because mud slides have created
some blocked places.
Our account now has Baht 630,000. However, we still need an additional
Baht 250,000 to meet our final price, which includes pews and other necessities.
The Pahk is sending letters of request for contributions to the Church
of Christ in Thailand and to local churches.
We are grateful to you, our friends at the Presbytery of Huntingdon for
your generous gifts so that we can begin building the church.
May God Bless You Always,
With Love and Respect,
Nantarak Chaiboonruang
Pahk-Presbytery Coordinator
